Berrios falls as Cleveland ruins prospect's Major League debut

Cleveland Indians 6

Minnesota Twins 5

The Minnesota Twins fell short in their series finale against the Cleveland Indians Wednesday night, falling to Cleveland 6-5 at Target Field.

1. No magical comeback this time

The Twins beat the Indians in dramatic fashion during the first two games of the series, but they didn't have any magic left for their third walk-off win in as many nights.

Cody Allen kept the Twins off the board when he got Joe Mauer to fly out with the tying run on second base in the ninth to pick up his seventh save.

2. Berrios makes his debut

It wasn't the fabulous debut that most Twins' fans were hoping for from Jose Berrios (0-1). The team's top pitching prospect gave up five runs on six hits in four innings.

But four of those runs came against Berrios in the fifth, and he showed plenty of promise in his first trip to a Major League mound.

3. Park bomb

Byung Ho Park crushed his team-leading fifth home run of the season to pull the Twins within a run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The home run puts him in some pretty elite territory in Twins history.
