'Best WNBA Player' ESPY Award goes to who else... Maya Moore

The 2014 ESPY Award for "Best WNBA Player" went to Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday night.

The ESPY caps off an amazing past week for Moore. She scored 32 points to fuel a Lynx win over the Shock in front of a record crowd at Target Center on Wednesday; played in the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Target Field; was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week; and, according to KARE 11, her jersey sales rank fourth in the WNBA.

All of Moore's fun happened on the heels of her being named the WNBA's leading vote-getter for the upcoming All-Star Game.

Moore was also nominated for "Best Female Athlete," but that award went to Mixed Martial Artist Ronda Rousey.

Winning an ESPY is nothing new for Moore. She won "Best Female College Athlete" three straight years (2009-2011) while starring at the University of Connecticut.
