Big nights from Augustus, Moore help Lynx extinguish Sparks

The Minnesota Lynx picked up a road victory Tuesday night, beating the Los Angeles Sparks 67-52.

After a low scoring first half, the Lynx got rolling in the third quarter, matching their first half total by scoring 23 points in the third quarter.

Seimone Augustus had a big night for the Lynx, she scored 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Maya Moore got rolling in the second half, she finished with 22 points to lead the way. She was 2-of-6 from behind the arc.

Minnesota (4-1) shot 52 percent from the floor and turned the ball over just eight times in the game. Los Angeles by comparison shot just 39 percent and were 3-of-18 from the three-point line.

Jantel Lavender posted a double-double to lead the Sparks with 12 points and 13 boards. Marianna Tolo chipped in 10 points for the Sparks.
