The Minnesota Wild fell to the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3, Friday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Teuvo Teravanien's first postseason goal late in the second period was the difference maker. Chicago remains unbeaten in games this season when they enter the third period with a lead.

The Blackhawks took control early when Brandon Saad scored his third goal of the playoffs just 1:15 seconds into the game.

Minnesota fought back, and peppered Blackawks goaltender Corey Crawford with pucks, but he turned them away and even when he didn't, the Wild couldn't take advantage.

Chicago took advantage stretching the lead on goals from Patrick Kane and Marcus Krueger coming off Wild miscues in their own zone.

Somehow the Wild battled back, scoring three unanswered in the second period to pull even on this goal from Mikael Granlund.
