Blue Jays bomb Twins early, often and late, 11-2

The good news for Twins fans - or what constitutes for it these days - is that the game against the Blue Jays at Target Field was pretty much over as soon as it began, with Toronto taking a 5-0 lead in the 1st inning.

The bad news is, those dirty birds from Canada continued to score ... and score ... and score - torturing the Twins players, most of whom looked like they'd rather be at home than playing baseball. Anyway, the final was 11-2.

Aside from that, the only thing of interest to Twins fans might be that Kent Hrbek appears to have recorded a new commercial for that air-conditioning/heating company he's been pitching for almost 30 years, and there appears to be a new Fox Sports North Girl named Angie. Or maybe she's not new, but anyway ...

Here's the party line:

Adam Lind launched a pair of three-run homers in the middle test of a three-game set at Target Field.

Lind's first homer sparked Toronto's five-run first inning, while his second came in the ninth to put the finishing touches on the Blue Jays' fourth win in their last five games.

Oswaldo Arcia and Josmil Pinto each knocked in a run for the Twins, who have lost three straight games.

Kevin Correia (9-11) pitched well after his shaky first inning, but was charged for five runs on seven hits over six innings to absorb the loss.

Minnesota went 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left 13 runners on base. Arcia's RBI came off a triple, what is generally considered one of the most exciting play in all of baseball, and even that was pretty quiet.

Final game (of the series, not the season) Sunday afternoon at Target Field.
