Bogaerts breaks open the scoring, Red Sox pummel Twins
Xander Bogaerts had a big night. The American League batting leader added 10 points to his batting average Friday night as he finished 4-for-5 with 4 RBIs including a big 3-run homer in the fifth.
Bogaerts' blast broke open a scoreless game in the fifth inning.

It was Bogaerts seventh home run of the season. Boston added three more in the sixth and ran away with an 8-1 victory over the Twins on Friday night.
Twins starter Tyler Duffey (2-5) gave up six runs on 10 hits in just five innings.
