Brett Favre says Sam Bradford is 'tailor made' for Vikings offense

A week ago Vikings fans were clamoring for Brett Favre to make one more NFL comeback to save the team's season following Teddy Bridgewater's gruesome knee injury.

But Tuesday, the former Hall-of-Famer told Sirius XM NFL Radio that he thinks the Vikings have found a replacement for Bridgewater "tailor made" for their offense – obviously we know now that it's not him.

Favre was talking about newly acquired quarterback Sam Bradford.

"I think he's tailor-made for that type of system. When the focus is on Adrian Peterson and the run game, that's great, you can kind of transition slowly. But I think it really fits what his style of play is. So I thought it was a good move."

Bradford completed 65 percent of his passes for 3,725 yards and 19 touchdowns with 14 interceptions last season for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Favre added that he thinks Bradford is a better fit for Norv Turner's system than he was for former Eagles coach Chip Kelly.

Viking Update notes that fans are concerned about Bradford's history of injuries that have caused him to miss 34 games since entering the league in 2010.

But Favre added that's not really a concern of his either.

"The only thing I know is what all other fans know, is what I've seen. Yes, he's had injuries but I look at his injuries ... he's had legit injuries that there's nothing he could have done to come back and play. And it was unfortunate and some guys kind of are snakebit that way. He's been snakebit."

We'll see if Favre is right and how Bradford's future with the Vikings plays out starting Sunday.
