Bridgewater practices, still has to clear last NFL concussion protocol test

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer expects Teddy Bridgewater to play Sunday when the Vikings take on the Oakland Raiders.

Bridgewater was a full participant in practice Thursday as he continues to work his way back through the NFL's concussion protocol.

He was knocked out of last Sunday's game, while scrambling in the fourth quarter. Bridgewater had already begun to slide when Rams cornerback Lamarcus Joyner dove on top of him making contact with Bridgewater's head and sending it bouncing off the TCF Bank Stadium turf.

As long as things continue as planned Sunday's game will be a good test to check the early returns against the two most successful quarterbacks from the 2014 NFL Draft.

The Vikings chose Bridgewater over Derek Carr when they traded back into the first round to draft a quarterback at No. 32 overall. Just four picks later Carr was snatched up by the Raiders.

ESPN's Ben Goessling took a look at the 'Tale of the tape' and while Carr has thrown for more impressive numbers, it's Bridgewater who has the wins.

Carr enters his 25th NFL start with a 7-17 record, while Bridgewater, who will slated to start his 21st game, is 12-8.
