The Brooklyn Nets scored a franchise record 78 points in the paint and beat up on the shorthanded Minnesota Timberwolves 122-106 Monday night at Target Center.

It's the most points in the paint scored by any team in a game this season in the NBA.

It was also the 12th straight game the Wolves have faced a double-digit deficit. Their ninth loss in their last 10 games was also their second blowout loss in as many nights.

The Wolves had just eight players available for the game. Ricky Rubio, Kevin Garnett, Gary Neal and Nikola Pekovic all sat out Monday night's game.

Joe Johnson scored 22 points to lead Brooklyn, while Bojan Bogdanovic added 21. Thaddeus Young added 19 and both Brooks Lopez and Jared Jack chipped in with 16.

The Nets shot 52-of-90 from the floor, good for 58 percent from the floor.

Kevin Martin led the Wolves with 23 points. He was 3-of-5 from behind the arc. Zach LaVine added 20, but he also turned it over six times. Chase Budinger chipped in 18 points and Andrew Wiggins added 13.

The Wolves shot the basketball well from outside. As a team they were 9-of-15 from the three-point line, but Minnesota couldn't stop the Nets inside.

The Wolves (14-52) play at Toronoto on Wednesday.
