By the numbers: Truax vs. George
All this week, we've been counting down to the big Caleb Truax-Donovan George middleweight fight at the Minneapolis Convention Center tonight.
Today, we shut our yaps for a while and let the numbers -- and a few photos (by Arthur David Hughes) -- tell the story.

It's a 10-round fight that's expected to be a slugfest. George is favored to win, but Truax just might surprise everyone -- especially under the high-profile glare of the ESPN lights.

That's how many hours the ESPN lighting crew will spend to properly stage the show for Friday night. It all started Thursday in Hall C at the MCC ... a 12 hour shift to get things rolling, followed by a 16 hour shift Friday.

Four corners, one canvas stretched across it all. This is the scene Thursday morning as local crews spend about four hours to construct the ring. It's also their time to answer a few dumb questions from website reporters.
One doozy in particular: "Hey, is there a special name for the rope you use to tie down the canvas?"
"Yeah. Rope."
