Former Minnesota Vikings running Caleb King faces third-degree and fifth-degree assault charges in connection to an incident in April, according to a criminal complaint filed in Anoka County. King is accused of punching a man in the face while attending a birthday party in Oak Grove. The victim suffered a skull fracture and nasal fracture.

The Viking running back was jailed in Anoka County early Saturday morning after allegedly assaulting another man at a birthday party in Oak Grove. The victim was last listed in serious condition at a hospital in Coon Rapids. King spent the majority of the 2011 season on the practice squad.
