When asked if the dismissal was related to basketball or off-court conduct, Pitino said, via video from the Pioneer Press:

"It was definitely something that happened. I'm not going to get into details of what it was. Something happened, we addressed it, and we move on."

The University of Minnesota confirmed in an email to that Morris will continue to receive academic and scholarship support from the U of M through the rest of the year.

Morris was a senior captain averaging 9.8 points per game before his dismissal.

The Gophers are off to the worst start in program history and they take their 0-13 Big Ten record up against fifth-ranked Maryland on Thursday.
