Who doesn't love a parade?
Especially when it's for the only major professional sports franchise in Minnesota to even come close to a championship in at least 15 years. And the Lynx now have two in the last three.
MPR reported that thousands lined the parade route that headed down Nicollet Mall starting at 11:30 a.m, followed by a Pep Rally at Target Center at 12:15 p.m., where Lynx players greeted fans, according to WCCO.
The Lynx swept the Atlanta Dream to win their second WNBA championship in three years.
“I think we were just so prepared for every game this season, from day one at training camp, everyone came in with a great attitude and work ethic, we just gelled as a team right from the start,” Lindsay Whalen told WCCO Sunday night.
