Proud new parents Christian and Samantha Ponder have shared with the world the first photos of their new baby, Bowden.

The Vikings quarterback and ESPN "College Game Day" reporter announced the birth earlier this week. Bowden – whose full name is Bowden Sainte-Claire Ponder – takes her first name after Ponder's former Florida State University coach, Bobby Bowden.

Samantha Ponder posted two photos of the baby on her Instagram page Wednesday – one a close-up shot of the new family and the other of three in front of a giant "LOVE" sculpture.

She also posted the link to the photos on her Twitter account, along with the message, "Thanks to all the close friends and family who helped us enjoy pregnancy/the first month of her life…"

The birth of baby Bowden – whom Christian Ponder says he will call by the nickname "Scout" – comes just ahead of the quarterback's return to Vikings training camp, where he will compete for the starting job with veteran QB Matt Cassel and first-round draft choice Teddy Bridgewater.

USA Today says the baby, meanwhile, will accompany Samantha Ponder on her "College Game Day" trips.
