The Minnesota Twins fell to the Cleveland Indians 5-1 Saturday at Target Field.

The win locked up a wildcard spot for the Cleveland Indians. The loss for the Twins also means that Twins skipper Ron Gardenhire will not get career victory 1,000 in 2013.

For the third straight Saturday the game was pushed back because of rain, but they were able to play the full game at Target Field Saturday afternoon.

Cole DeVries started on the mound for Minnesota. He made his second start of the season, but gave up five runs on six hits in five innings of work.

The Star Tribune reports, that DeVries started strong for the Twins retiring the first 11 Cleveland hitters.

Carlos Santana crushed a fourth inning home run off of DeVries in the fourth. It was his 20th of the season. Michael Bourn finished 2-4 with 2 runs batted in, Jason Kipnis was 2-4 in the game as well for the Indians.

Ryan Doumit scored the Twins lone run of the game, when he was driven in by Eric Fryer in the fourth inning. At that time it cut the Cleveland lead to 2-1. But the Indians responded with three runs in the fifth inning.
