Kevin Correia had his strongest outing of the season and the Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-0, Tuesday night.

Correia pitched six shutout innings. He gave up six hits and struck out one, while picking up his third win of the season.

Brian Duensing, Jared Burton and Glenn Perkins threw relief and kept the Blue Jays off the scoreboard.

For the second straight night, the Twins took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Brian Dozier homered for the second time in as many nights in the first, to give Correia and the Twins the early lead.

The game stayed that way until the fourth.

Kendrys Morales led off the inning with an infield single. After Oswaldo Arcia walked, Eduardo Nunez singled to right field to load the bases. Morales and Arcia both came around to score on another infield single by Danny Santana. The throw from third baseman Juan Francisco sailed over first baseman Edwin Encarnacion's head.

That was more than enough for Correia and the rest of the Twins pitchers. Correia made the defensive play of the night, himself.

Morales was 2 for 5 with a double, for the Twins. Santana was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run. Nunez also had a pair of hits, for the Twins.

Joe Mauer also moved up the list in games played, for the Twins, passing Torii Hunter.

The Twins and Blue Jays finish their three game series Wednesday.
