Delmon Young signs minor league deal with Orioles

Delmon Young has found another home.

The former Minnesota Twins outfielder signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles late Monday, a deal that includes an invite to spring training.

Young's deal with the Orioles means he will be in his fourth organization since being traded from Minnesota to Detroit late in the 2011 season.

When Young went to the Tigers, he caught fire in the playoffs, setting a franchise record for home runs in a single postseason.

Since that playoff spurt, Young has found going tough, as he hasn't cracked the .270 barrier in a season, while showing marginal power.

He has also shown a tendency to make news off the field with a 2012 incident in which an intoxicated Young allegedly yelled anti-Semitic comments and physically assaulted a man.

Young spent three-plus years in Minnesota, finishing 10th in MVP voting in his final full season of 2010 with the club.
