Durant watches Lynx game after donating $1 million to tornado victims
The Lynx lost to the Connecticut Sun, 88-80 in an exhibition game Tuesday at Target Center.
Lindsay Whalen led Minnesota with 14 points and eight assists.
"You can learn a lot from a game like this," guard/forward Monica Wright told FOX Sports North. "A lot of it is things we can control."
Wright had a popular fan in the stands as her good friend Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder was at the game.
Durant, who pledged $1 million to help the people suffering from Monday's tornado damage in the greater Oklahoma City area, tells the Star Tribune that "it's tough right now but the sun is going to shine soon."
The Lynx finish the brief preseason schedule 1-1 and now look forward to the regular season and home opener June 1 against Connecticut.
Minnesota's roster is currently at 14 players, but needs to be cut to 11 by Thursday -- so expect cuts any day now.
