Early returns on Stefon Diggs' production reaches record level

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday due to a hamstring issue.

That's a big deal for the Vikings offense too, because since Diggs took the field in Week 4 at Denver he has been clicking along at historic pace.

The Vikings fifth round pick has caught 25 passes for 419 yards and two touchdowns – not bad for a half season of work – but what's really eye popping about it is that Diggs' production comes in just four NFL games.

In each of his four NFL games, Diggs has at least 85 yards receiving. According to Pro Football Talk, no other receiver in NFL History – including Randy Moss and Jerry Rice – has ever accomplished that.

Diggs was in and out of the second half of Sunday's game at Chicago, because of the hamstring. But he made the biggest play of the game when he caught a 15-yard pass from Teddy Bridgewater and spun away from a defender and broke away for the game-tying touchdown.

The play changed the momentum in the game and for his efforts Diggs was nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Award for the second time in three weeks.

The Vikings went on to win 23-20, their first victory in Chicago since 2007.
