Rachel Bootsma, of Eden Prairie, swam the 11th-fastest qualifying time in the morning heats at the Summer Olympic Games in London. Her time of 1 minute, 00.03 seconds was short her personal best of 59.10, set last month at the Olympic trials, the Star Tribune reports. The top 16 swimmers compete in Sunday’s semifinals, with the eight fastest moving on to the finals Monday. The 100 meter semifinal heats are set for 2:49 p.m. CDT.

To join the U.S. team heading to the London Olympics this summer, the six-time state high school champion has to finish in at least second place at the trials.
