KARE's 'Perk' going for golden local Olympics coverage at London Games

KARE-TV Sports Director Eric Perkins says he's excited to be heading to London to report on as many local Olympics stories as possible until the event wraps up Aug. 12. KARE became the gold standard of Olympics coverage during the Bejing Games four years ago, as there were days when more people tuned into the local NBC affiliate to watch the event than anywhere else in the United States.

Eric Perkins named KARE 11 sports director
