Everything's sexier in Texas: Bartolo Colon signs with Rangers
Bartolo Colon. Gone but not forgotten.
Sadly, the sexiest player in baseball history, "Big Sexy," has agreed to a new deal with the Texas Rangers, according to FanRag's Jon Heyman. It's a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.
Colon, who turns 45 in May, played half of last season with the Twins after All-Star Ervin Santana convinced him to join the team after he was released by the Atlanta Braves. He went 5-6 with a 5.18 ERA in 15 starts.
Had Minnesota advanced past the Yankees in the Wild Card round, there was a chance Colon would've been part of the official playoff roster.
There's still hope for another Big Sexy Night at Target Field because Colon can ask for his release if he's not included on the Rangers' 40-man roster, Heyman says.
