Ex-Cretin Derham Hall star Henderson quits Pro Day workout

Former Cretin-Derham Hall and Miami Hurricanes offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson's path to the NFL Draft hit a bump in the road Thursday when he unexpectedly walked out of his pro day workout.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen was the first to report that Henderson had "quit" his workout.

But did Henderson, who was once considered the No. 1 high school football prospect in the country, simply quit?

Henderson's agent David Levine told the Miami Herald that Henderson cut his workout short because he was "dehydrated and felt sick" and Mortensen's report "was quite a mischaracterization."

At 6-foot-7, 339 pounds, Henderson didn't exactly impress NFL coaches and scouts during his workout. He benched pressed 225 pounds 23 times, a disappointing result based on NFL standards.

Levine added that Henderson did meet with representatives from the New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks following his workout.

Eric Edholm of Yahoo! Sports wrote that Henderson will need a "darned good answer" for why he couldn't finish his workout. Henderson already had plenty of red flags after being suspended at least three times during his college career at Miami.
