Ex-Spurs player Matt Bonner films video tour of Minneapolis skyways, gets lost twice
The weather in San Antonio is in the 60s this week, while in Minneapolis it's in the single digits.
You can forgive the San Antonio Spurs team for staying indoors while in Minneapolis on Friday, when they beat the TImberwolves 116-113 at Target Center.
But while in town, former player-turned Spurs TV analyst Matt Bonner was determined to explore, namely Minneapolis' extensive skyway system.
Bonner, known during his playing days as the "Red Mamba" and "Red Rocket," set himself the challenge of making his way across downtown to Target Center without setting foot outdoors.
Probably unsurprisingly given the relatively complexity of the system to first-time users, he got lost on at least two occasions – before stopping off for a sandwich to regroup.
He finally made it to Target Center, telling his Twitter followers: "I did it. Impossible is nothing."
So it's not the most exciting video of all time, but it's one that nonetheless introduces out-of-staters to one of the quirks of the Twin Cities in winter.
