The Minnesota Vikings have placed guard Steve Hutchinson on injured reserve. The 11-year veteran suffered a concussion December 18 against New Orleans, and wasn't able to play last week against the Redskins. This is the second consecutive season Hutchinson has finished the year on injured reserve.

At 35 years old, left guard Steve Hutchinson is nearing the end of his career. He's due to make $6.95 million next season. But that's only if the Vikings bring him back. Vikings left guard Steve Hutchinson suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to New Orleans. He left the game in the third quarter with a cut on his lip that required stitches. Today, Leslie Frazier said Hutchinson cannot practice or play until he passes the league's mandatory concussion protocol. Cornerback Asher Allen also suffered a concussion.
