Favre on Rodgers: 'He'll shatter everything I ever did'

The Brett Favre-Aaron Rodgers love-in continues.

Last week, Rodgers said that the Green Bay Packers should retire Favre's iconic No. 4 jersey.

On Thursday, Favre returned the favor, and gushed about Rodgers as a quarterback.

"Barring any injury, he'll shatter everything I ever did there except for maybe consecutive games," Favre told Sirius XM NFL radio.

The Pioneer Press was kind enough to spell it out for us, pointing out that Favre holds signficant leads over Rodgers when it comes to career passing yards (71,838 to 21,661), touchdown passes (508 to 171), completions (6,300 to 1,752) and attempts (10,169 to 2,665).

As we've mentioned before, all this feel-good-about-ourselves-as-Packers is leading in one direction: someday returning to Lambeau Field to have that number retired.

As Favre put it: "(It's) a tremendous organization that has been able to survive in a world -- that there is no way you would ever start a franchise in Green Bay. No offense, Green Bay."

No offense, indeed.
