Favre sells out Lambeau in 8 hours; doesn't think Brady cheated

At least 67,000 Green Bay Packer fans have apparently forgiven Brett Favre for leaving town near the end of his career to play for the rival Minnesota Vikings.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that it took only eight hours Tuesday to sell about 67,000 tickets to Favre's induction into the Packers Hall of Fame on July 18. Tickets were $4 and all proceeds are going to Favre's foundation, Favre 4 Hope.

Favre is expected to make an appearance on the turf at Lambeau Field so the fans can see him in person, but after a brief appearance he'll head inside to the Packers Atrium for the induction ceremony, which will include retiring his No. 4.

The full ceremony will be televised by NFL Network.

It's not totally stunning to see the Favre faithful come out in droves to see the ol' gunslinger, but in 2009 when Favre returned to Lambeau for the first time as a Viking, "it seemed like it would be a cold day on the frozen tundra before he would be welcomed back," Viking Update's John Holler cleverly wrote.

Favre sides with Brady

Favre doesn't agree with the four-game suspension Patriots quarterback Tom Brady received for deflating footballs to his liking. Favre told Fox News on Tuesday that he doesn't "think by any stretch that Tom was cheating."
