Food trucks roll in as 'railgating' begins for Vikings fans

A new tradition has kicked off for Vikings fans waiting to get into Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. With little room for traditional tailgating, the city of Minneapolis has blocked off a street area where fans can "railgate" as 16 food trucks will serve up breakfast and lunch up to game time.

A new tradition has kicked off for Vikings fans waiting to get into Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, WCCO-TV reports.

With little room for traditional tailgating, the city of Minneapolis has blocked off a street area where fans can "railgate," as 16 food trucks will serve breakfast and lunch up to game time.

The city is experimenting with railgating as a means to enhance the game day experience.

Social Media was ablaze Sunday morning with photos of the festivities.
