Freshman guard Carlie Wagner helped the Gophers come back in the final two minutes of the game to defeat Indiana 65-61 Sunday at Williams Arena.

The No. 23 women's basketball team is now 16-2, which is the team's best starting record in history.

The Gophers struggled on both ends of the court throughout the game, but Wagner hit three shots in a row in the final two minutes, including a layup with 37 seconds left on the clock, to get the lead and seal the win, the Star Tribune reports.

Senior Shae Kelley led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds - getting her second double-double in a row. Amanda Zahui B. had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Gophers.

The Hoosiers had the upper hand most of the game, scoring 22 points off 20 Gopher turnovers. Indiana went 41.5 percent for field goals, while the Gophers went 50 percent.

Minnesota took over the lead with 1:18 left on the clock when Wagner sank a 3-pointer, making the score 60-59. Zahui and Kelley added free throws for the final margin, according to Gopher Sports.

Next up, the Gophers host Purdue Thursday night.
