Former FOX Sports North host and reporter Jamie Hersch announced last week she was leaving the network, and now we know where she's going.

On Tuesday, the Minnesota native revealed she's joining the NHL Network as a host of "On the Fly" – the network's nightly game recap show – after announcing on Sept. 13 that she was "starting a new chapter" and leaving FOX Sports North.

"On the Fly" will follow NHL Tonight, which airs at 6 p.m. on the NHL Network, according to the network's programming schedule.

Hersch, a 2005 Champlin Park High School graduate, began her media career while she was a student, according to a story from the Anoka-Hennepin district. She gathered game information and quotes for use in the school's “Rebel Report” news broadcast.

She then went to the University of Southern California, according to her bio on the Annenberg TV Center page, where her work made her a semi-finalist in the 2009 National Hearst Foundation Journalism Awards Program.

She went from USC to a job at WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin, where she worked as a multimedia journalist and then sports reporter for more than three-and-a-half years, according to her LinkedIn page. She joined FOX Sports North in February of 2013, and also began a gig with the Big Ten Network shortly sfter.

Hersch spent three seasons hosting the pregame and postgame shows for Minnesota Wild broadcasts, her NHL Network bio notes.

Many took to Twitter to congratulate the Minnesotan on her career move:
