After a year out of football, former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice is getting back to the gridiron, as reports say the Falcons will hire him as their offensive line coach.

Tice served as the head man for Minnesota from the last game of the 2001 season until the end of the 2005 year, compiling a 32-33 record while making the playoffs once with the team.

After being let go after the 2005 season, he went to Jacksonville and held the post of assistant head coach for four seasons, primarily working on the offensive side of the ball. His most recent stop came in Chicago, where he was the offensive line coach for two seasons before being promoted to the post of offensive coordinator for the Bears.

He did not coach in 2013, but still made at least $100,000, as he hit it big at the track in August.
