Robinson fractured his sternum; Peterson, Sullivan banged up

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier held his weekly press conference today and he touched on a number of issues, including the quarterback situation, Jerome Simpson's legal trouble, and a few injuries to key players.

Frazier said cornerback Josh Robinson suffered a fractured sternum while making a tackle against Seattle. There's a chance he'll be placed on injured reserve, which would keep him out for the remainder of the season. The Star Tribune reports he'll miss 4-6 weeks.

Center Josh Sullivan suffered a concussion and will have to pass a series of tests before returning to the field. Adrian Peterson admitted that his groin injury held him back in the game. Frazier said it's "too early "to tell if the injury will keep him out against the Packers this week.

On top of that, Frazier said they'll have to watch wide receiver progress through an achilles injury before determining whether he'll be ready to play against his former team in Green Bay.

Simpson's pending status with the NFL after being charged with third-degree DWI and refusal to submit to a blood test two weekends ago.

"We're probably where we are with Jerome, and we'll see where things go as the week goes on. I'm sure the league will give us some guidelines as they have throughout, but we'll continue to monitor the situation."

Another day in which there isn't a clear-cut starting quarterback for the Vikings. Frazier didn't name a starter today, but he's hoping to "have a good idea" of who the starter will be by Wednesday.

Christian Ponder started at Seattle before three turnovers forced Frazier to bench him in favor of Matt Cassel, who threw an interception of his own.

While Frazier didn't say where Josh Freeman currently is on the depth chart (he was inactive against Seattle), he did say he's looking forward to Freeman "contributing to our football team."
