If there's a team that looks more like a champion than the Minnesota Lynx we'd love to see it.

The Lynx were in championship form Thursday night as they opened up the Western Conference Finals with a resounding win over the Phoenix Mercury, 85-62.

Minnesota is now a perfect 6-and-0 against Phoenix this season. Just one of the six games has been decided by less than 10 points.

The Lynx exploded from the start and turned an eight point lead after one quarter into a 23 point lead at the half. Phoenix scored six points in the second quarter.

Maya Moore and Lindsay Whalen each scored 20 points and Seimone Augustus added 18.

Game two is Sunday at 4:00 p.m. CT in Phoenix. A win for the Lynx would send them to the WNBA Finals for the third straight season. The won it all in 2011 and lost to the Indiana Fever last season.
