Gardenhire: No time to 'feel sorry about yourself'

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire says Detroit is no place to “feel sorry about yourself.”

It’s Twins and Tigers tonight at Comerica Park, with Minnesota hoping to snap a season-long eight-game losing streak.

Scott Diamond (3-4, 4.99 ERA) is on the hill for the Twins. He beat Detroit earlier this month, giving up two runs over six innings.

As for the rest of the series, Samuel Deduno will make his 2013 debut tomorrow night, and then Kevin Correia and Mike Pelfrey will start over the weekend.

Vance Worley is out of the rotation. He’s been sent to Triple-A Rochester after Wednesday's meltdown in Atlanta, where he gave up eight earned runs in three-plus innings. Afterwards, Gardenhire wasn't pleased:
