Ronda Tinsley, the mother of the late Gary Tinsley, will accept her son's bachelor's degree during the University of Minnesota's graduation commencement on Thursday. The former Gophers' linebacker died of an enlarged heart last month.

As expected, the parents of the late Gary Tinsley walked through the U of M's graduation commencement ceremony and accepted their son's bachelor's degree. Ronda Evans, his mother and Gary Tinsley Sr., his father accepted the diploma. Head coach Jerry Kill joined Tinsley's parents at the ceremony.

Golden Gopher athletics has set up a fund for the late Gary Tinsley, who was found dead in his dorm room last week. The fund will help teammates go to Tinsley's funeral, which will be held in Florida. Money will also be donated for funeral expenses.

Fox 9 News reports a U of M source confirms Tinsley was discovered unresponsive and responders were unable to revive him. Officials say there was no sign of foul play.
