Section playoffs are underway in girls high school hockey and the game of the year took place Wednesday night between East Ridge and Apple Valley.
Final score: East Ridge 3, Apple Valley 2
But the story is unbelievable. The game went six overtimes and East Ridge used all 9 periods to pepper Apple Valley goaltender Taylor DeForrest with shots – 115 of them to be exact, and DeForrest stopped 112 of them to smash the previous state record of 59 saves, according to MN Hockey Hub.

Former Minnesota Wild star Wes Walz was at the game and tweeted that he's never seen a game go as long as this one did.

The Wild's current goaltenders also took notice of DeForrest's game.
