Minnesota Olympic hero Jessie Diggins has added another valuable piece of jewelry to her collection after announcing her engagement.

The Afton cross country skier, who took a memorable gold at the 2018 Sochi Olympics, announced her upcoming nuptials to longtime boyfriend Wade Poplawski on Instagram.

Keeping it short and sweet, she posted: "I haven’t stopped smiling!! ❤️💍"

Like most professional athletes, Diggins has seen her season affected by the coronavirus. She was due to compete in the World Cup cross-country competition at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis last month before it was canceled.

She was also due to give a talk about her autobiography, Brave Enough, at the Wordplay Festival in Minneapolis.

This was turned into a virtual event, with Diggins speaking to followers about her book last week.

Also, because it's awesome, here's the moment that Diggins made history.
