Goodell rejects appeal of Saints penalties

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has denied the appeal of punishments doled out to the New Orleans Saints for their bounty system. That makes it certain that the Saints' Sean Payton will not coach at all next season. He'll be suspended for the year for the team's policy that rewarded players who knocked opponents - such as the Vikings' Brett Favre - out of games with injuries.
