The Gopher men's hockey team is no longer the top-ranked college hockey team. Minnesota fell to fourth in this week's USCHO.com college hockey poll.

Minnesota was swept in a home-and-home series over the weekend by the University of Minnesota, Duluth. The Gophers were shut out on Friday 3-0, and SB Nation's College Hockey notes it's the first time in 20 months that Minnesota was shut out at home.

The loss also snapped a 17-game unbeaten streak in Mariucci Arena for the Gophers.

While the Gophers dropped, other Minnesota hockey programs were on the rise. Both UMD and Minnesota State University climbed into the top 10.

Most notably is UMD, which completed its first sweep of the Gophers in almost five years. The Bulldogs have now won five straight games and actually have the last two victories by a visiting team at Mariucci Arena.

Minnesota State remained in the top 10 as well, but they were off last weekend. They prepare for a big road series against unbeaten and newly top-ranked Michigan Tech this weekend.

Here is the full Top 10 from USCHO.com

  1. Michigan Tech
  2. North Dakota
  3. Boston University
  4. Minnesota
  5. Massachusetts-Lowell
  6. Colgate
  7. Miami
  8. Minnesota-Duluth
  9. Minnesota State University
