Another University of Minnesota basketball player has been suspended following his arrest Sunday afternoon.

The U released a statement Sunday night saying Reggie Lynch was arrested on suspicion of criminal sexual conduct and has been "suspended from all team activities indefinitely, pending the outcome of the investigation."

He was arrested Sunday afternoon by the University of Minnesota Police Department, Hennepin County Jail records show. He hasn't been formally charged with a crime, but is being held without bail on probable cause.

Details of what led up to his arrest haven't been released.

Lynch, who was a star at Edina High School, transferred from Illinois State, but was forced to sit out last season due to NCAA rules.

Lynch's arrest comes a few months after three Gophers basketball players were suspended after a sex video was posted to social media. No charges were filed in that incident.

Lynch is the sixth Gopher basketball player to be suspended or kicked off the team in the past year. The others:

  • Daquan McNeil - kicked off the team
  • Kevin Dorsey - suspended
  • Nate Mason - suspended
  • Dupree McBrayer - suspended
  • Carlos Morris - kicked off the team
