Minnesota Gophers wrestling coach J Robinson is lucky to be walking on two legs, albeit on crutches.

A few weeks ago he had an artificial knee in his left leg removed after a streptococcus infection in his mouth spread to his leg. Robinson tells the Pioneer Press that if he would have waited one more day to see a doctor he could have lost his leg, or even died.

Robinson will be coaching the Gophers this weekend at the NWCA/Cliff Keen national dual meet championship finals at Williams Arena.
