Dick Beardsley's 33-year-old Grandma's Marathon record is no more. Dominic Ondoro won the 2014 men's race Saturday morning with a time of 2:09.05, beating Beardsley's longstanding mark by a whopping 32 seconds (2:09.37).

Ondoro, a 26-year-old Kenyan native, broke from the pack with about 7 miles to go, the Star Tribune reports.

According to the Duluth News Tribune, Beardsley an Excsleior native, watched Ondoro's race from the pace car.

On the women's side, Pasca Myers won the race for the first time, after finishing fifth last year. The Star Tribune says she had to pass Almaz Negede, the leader for most of the race, to take the top spot.

Myers' winning time of 2:33.43 was a minute faster than the second-place finisher. The 27-year-old is a native of Kenya but now lives in Iowa, the Duluth News Tribune reports.

Last year's defending women's champion, Sarah Kiptoo, finished third with a time of 2:34.55.

In the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, it was Julius Koskei's time of 1:03.36 that won the men's race, and Cynthia Limo finished in 1:09:50 to take the women's event. You can find the half marathon leaderboards here.
