After missing Sunday's game in Atlanta, Vikings safety Harrison Smith was feeling good enough to return for the open portion of practice Wednesday.

Smith was injured on a bizarre play in the first quarter against Green Bay, but finished the game before missing practice last week.

While his official status for Sunday's game against Seattle remains unclear, Smith told the Star Tribune after practice that he is feeling better.

"A lot better," Smith told the newspaper. "I'm still not doing everything right now, but I'll get some more action tomorrow and should have a pretty good idea by Friday."

Smith's status for Sunday's game against the Seahawks may be the most important, but he's not the only injured player in the Vikings secondary.

Andrew Sendejo was out after having an MRI on his knee earlier this week and both safety Robert Blanton (ankle) and cornerback Trae Waynes (ankle) were full participants at practice Wednesday.

When asked if there was a chance that Smith and Sendejo could both miss the game Sunday, Zimmer responded, "There's a chance if I lose 100 pounds, I could be a jockey. How do I know? I wouldn't know if the guys are going to play yet or not."
