Percy Harvin: 'I'm back and ready'

The imminent return of Percy Harvin is fast approaching.

The former Vikings wide receiver was supposed to be out until at least Thanksgiving with a torn labrum, but he made it clear with a tweet last month that the doctor's orders of 3-4 months of rest and rehab weren't going to be necessary.

On Monday, Harvin made it sound like he'll be playing any day now.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll talked about Harvin's status on 710 ESPN in Seattle on Monday.

“He will be back in town this week,” Carroll said. “He was in New York to make sure that the doctor that did the surgery and his rehab team back there was really on it and could really sign off on him. So he’ll be back with us. I know he started running last week. I don’t know any more than that until we get him out here working with our guys. It’s encouraging, we’re getting closer and if it can happen it’s going to happen as soon as possible.”

Harvin will come off the PUP list following Seattle's week six game against Tennessee on Sunday, and it looks like he might have nailed his prediction to play as soon as week seven.

At the very least, it looks like a guarantee that Harvin will be on the field when the Vikings play the Seahawks in Seattle week 11.
