Harvin & Winfield miss practice

Percy Harvin missed practice Thursday because of a rib injury. Head coach Leslie Frazier says Harvin is dealing with sore ribs but expects him to play Sunday in Chicago. Antoine Winfield's stiff neck kept him out of practice too. His status for Sunday is in doubt.

Humble Harvin praised for toughness

Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin has played through a lot of pain during his three year career. From migraine headaches to sore ribs, Harvin continues to play almost no matter what. His toughness is drawing praise from teammates, but he says he's just doing his job.

Herrera out, Harvin and Winfield in

The Minnesota Vikings roster is almost entirely healthy heading into Monday night's match-up against the Packers. Right guard Anthony Herrera is the only player listed as out on the injury report. The good news is that Antoine Winfield is playing for sure and Percy Harvin's ribs are close to 100-percent.

Loadholt & Sullivan miss practice

Christian Ponder might be running for his life Sunday against the Packers. The Vikings could be without two starting offensive lineman. Phil Loadholt (knee) and John Sullivan (concussion) were injured against the Bears and didn't practice Wednesday.

Ray Edwards vs. Phil Loadholt

Ray Edwards had some good practice battles against Phil Loadholt when he played for the Vikings. Edwards now lines up for the Atlanta Falcons, and he'll meet Loadholt in a game for the first time when the Vikings play the Falcons Sunday.

Frazier discusses Harvin's limited role

Percy Harvin's limited role on offense is creating plenty of discussion in Vikings land. Harvin wasn't on the field for nearly half of the Vikings' offensive plays on Sunday. However, through all of the scrutiny head coach Leslie Frazier is defending the way he uses Harvin.

Harvin a 'longshot' to play with sprained ankle

Percy Harvin says he's a "longshot" to play Sunday against the Lions, but he's not ruling himself out. If he doesn't play, expect an increased role for rookie wide receiver Jarius Wright. Wright tells the Pioneer Press that he can line up in the backfield, and if Percy is down, he’ll definitely be ready to go.

Harvin doesn't know if he's returning kickoffs

Percy Harvin has returned one kick this season - and it went for a 103-yard touchdown. He's the only player in Vikings history with four returns for touchdowns. Apparently that doesn't count for much, because Harvin still doesn't know if he'll be returning kickoffs against Tampa Bay.
