Head downtown: Lynx game will go on as scheduled
A break in the water main that provides water to the Target Center and subsequent formation of a sinkhole shut down the home of the Lynx essentially the entire day, with Hubert's and Lifetime Fitness remaining closed.
Despite the adversity, reports say the Lynx and Atlanta Dream, scheduled for an 8 o'clock tip off, will go on as scheduled.
From Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune: "Early this morning there was a water main break outside of Target Center, leaving the building without running water. The latest information we have received from the city has indicated that the water main will be repaired before game time. Tonight's game (8 p.m. tip) is scheduled to go on as planned."
Unfortunately there has been no change in the status of key Lynx cog Seimone Augustus, who is in a walking boot and will miss tonight's contest.
