Now that Election Day has passed, a former Minnesota lawmaker and a current Hennepin County commissioner is considering a run for Minnesota governor in 2014, Minnesota Public Radio reported.

Jeff Johnson, who is also Minnesota's Republican National Committeeman, told MPR that he's pondering a run, a day after he won his second term to serve on the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners.

Johnson said it will come down to a "family decision in the next months" to determine whether he'll make the run. He served in the Minnesota House from 2001 to 2007.

Johnson took a stand with the Hennepin County Board recently as the only member to vote against giving himself a 2.5 percent pay raise for 2014.
