Mariucci Arena will be a hot spot Friday and Saturday night as the two hottest teams in the WCHA get together for a couple of games. The Gophers are 4-0-2 in the last six games, but their opponent, Omaha, is even hotter. The Mavericks are an even 6-0 over that same stretch, but they haven't played a team as talented as the Gophers.

Could this be the last trip to Mariucci Arena for Omaha head coach Dean Blais? Minnesota and Omaha won't meet for few years because both teams are headed to new conferences next season.
