Another year and another viral hockey hair video has risen from the boys' and girls' state hockey tournaments in Minnesota.
Creating the video this year wasn't the same as years past because of pandemic-related restrictions, which kept Channel 45's camera operators off the ice at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, which in turn didn't allow for close-ups of the players during pregame introductions.
Nonetheless, there were plenty of mullets, salads and racing stripes at this year's tourney.
Game On! Minnesota produced the video, which has become so popular that it's now an advertising magnet for companies looking to attach their name to the wackiest thing in Minnesota sports and to a good cause.
Proceeds from the video go to the Hendrickson Foundation, which was supported this year by a $25,000 bid by Arby's.
