Hopkins High School's Paige Bueckers announced Monday that she's headed to the University of Connecticut on a basketball scholarship.

Bueckers is the No. 1-ranked recruit in the country in the Class of 2020

"As a young kid, I always dreamed of playing basketball at the Division I level under coach Geno Auriemma at the University of Connecticut, and now I take my first steps into realizing that dream. UConn bound. Go Huskies," Bueckers said in her announcement.

No matter where you look, you'll find Bueckers at the top of every recruiting list in the Class of 2020. She's fresh off leading Hopkins to an undefeated season and the Class 4A state championship, finishing with a whopping 2,288 career points – the most in school history.

The 5-foot-10 point guard could be the next superstar to come out of UConn, with the likes of Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi, Tina Charles and Sue Bird all rising to WNBA fame after storied careers at UConn.
